Job Description
Provides expert support in one or more areas related to Vaccine & External Communications as part of the Comms team. Develops effective Vaccines & External communication campaigns and activities for one or more categories/ departments and acts as an expert resource on Vaccine & External communications as an expert contributor to a major area of the function. May lead or participate in global or regional project teams responsible for developing major communications campaigns or global strategies and vaccine & External communication policies. Implements policies and strategies within own country.
Typical Accountabilities
- Ensures all communications share are unified, on-brand look and feel that reflect the company’s business priorities and strategy
- Prioritises Vaccine & external messages and act as gatekeeper
- Helps ensure Vaccine & External communications are on-message and pushed through the appropriate channels
- Helps leaders (managers) deliver highly engaging communications (i.e. newsletter, social media…)
- Participates in cross-functional collaboration and information exchange across the company to create comms opportunities both Vaccine & external
- Strong engagement with key journalists in trade media and also general media (print, TV and radio)
- Monitors and assists in gaining journalists feedback through formal and informal communications
- Provides feedback on the needs and issues of the audience to influence corporate deliverables and new opportunities
- Identifies and develops content from clients and client projects to imbed into ongoing corporate communications
Education, Qualifications, Skills and Experience
Essential
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communication, public relations or related field
- 5 years communications experience
- Experience managing relations with media and key journalists
- First-rate coordination, collaboration, organization and multi-tasking skills
- Good level of English
- Leadership (non hierarchical)
- Good project management
- With social skills
- Open to innovate ways of worki
Desirable
- Experience with multinational companies
- Experience with pharmaceutical industries
- External and vaccine communications experience
- Experience in a leadership support role
- Experience managing PR agencies
