What you will be doing:

First impressions are everything! As a Valet Runner with Accor Hotels you will have the opportunity to create lasting memories for every Guest by delivering exceptional service to both internal and external guests alike, The luxury our Guests experience will ensure their return.

• Consistently offer welcoming, friendly and warm service to external and internal guests
• Provide intuitive service, engaging with external and internal guests and anticipating their needs
• Foster positive cross departmental relationships to create a seamless experience
• Follow detailed cleaning standards as set through our ALL Safe – Stay Well, Leading Quality Assurance and Accor’s brand standards
• Ensuring all guest and colleague requests are handled in an efficient and professional manner according to brand standard
• Supporting company and hotel policies and procedures including the promoting and participation in EES, Health and Safety, and Voice of Guest initiatives.
• Clean all assigned areas including: sanitizing, dusting, vacuuming, spot cleaning walls and surfaces, sweeping, mopping and removing garbage
• Safely operate all machines including dryers and steam presses
• Separate and sort soiled linens and uniforms
• Report equipment malfunctions to the laundry manager or supervisor immediately
• Load/unload clean laundry into the washer & dryer and operate accordingly
• Clean, press, inspect for repairs and track all colleague uniforms and guest orders
• Perform repairs on uniforms and guest clothing as required including hemming
• Pick up and deliver guest orders, track and bill accordingly
• Accurately track all guest orders and dry cleaning sent to and received from 3^rd party partners
• Organize, clean, prepare, track and deliver all Fairmont Fit orders according to brand standards
• Ensure prompt service to colleagues at uniform counter within 1-2 minutes. Should a line form, each internal guest is acknowledged with eye contact and warm greeting within 2 minutes of joining line
• Clean, process and fold all contract orders accordingly
• Return and properly tag all lost and found articles in the Housekeeping Office
• Working safely to prevent injury
• Performs other related duties and follow hotel standards as assigned/applicable
• Will work weekends, holidays and shift work as scheduled

Your experience and skills include:

• Warm and caring personality
• Previous laundry and/or seamstress experience is an asset
• Able to communicate in English, both oral and written
• Ability to anticipate and focus attention on guest needs, being professional and welcoming
• Excellent organizational skills and time management
• Excellent communication and organizational skills 
• Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities 
• Highly responsible & reliable 
• Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team with minimum supervision  

Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to the following):

• Constant standing and walking throughout shift 
• Frequent lifting and carring up to 60lbs 
• Ability to push or pull objects up to 150lbs 
• Frequent work above shoulder height is required 
• Frequent kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting 
• Frequent ascending or descending ladders, stairs, and ramps

When the hotel opened in 1929 it was the tallest building in the British Common Wealth and contained 1,048 rooms, a concert hall, library, extensive bakery, radio station and even a hospital.
