As a Validation Engineer, you will perform testing of UPS units and systems and develop test methods and test capability in Validation Engineering team in CPS NPI organization. With the team, you will be supporting Eaton’s internal R&D Engineering organization with technical requests. You will develop the laboratory to function effectively and act as a technical advisor in correct procedures and health and safety guidelines. You will work within our world class Engineering Team in our Espoo Site and in close collaboration with different stakeholders (R&D, Service and Production). Your responsibilities will be to perform, oversee and develop the test planning and workflow of all test set-ups and test systems as well as to execute and develop documentation of the results and the test processes. You will ensure that required OHS, quality and validation goals are met. Your Key Delivarables Test planning, building of test setups, testing these systems, and documenting the test results. Development of test processes, requirements, and documentation. Test Automation development, writing test scripts and test procedures. Provide technical support to other functions. Overseeing safety and condition of laboratory equipment. Cooperation with Eaton test organizations around the world. Follow requirements of ISO/IEC 17025 2005 (General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories) Qualifications Required Master's or Bachelor's degree in (Power) Electronics Fundamental experience in electronic product electrical testing and or design Fluency in English and in Finnish essential Excellent organizational skills Self-motivated and self-managed, great collaboration skills, proactive, task oriented, and able to overcome obstacles to meet schedule requirements Desired Electrical system knowledge: UPS installations and safety. Understanding of embedded firmware. Familiar with common tools and methods to work in high power lab environment: oscilloscope, power analyzer and meters Familiarity with Test Automation and Test Automation Development Technical knowledge on power electronics and/or three phase electrical systems and solutions Experience in validation engineering What Eaton offers: Challenging and rewarding projects in dynamic collaborative team You’ll have the opportunity to experience R&D working in a global environment and learn from our senior power electronics experts globally.
