In the System Test Engineering team we are looking for a motivated validation engineer that will help us drives the validation process of our tools and the user engagement for the engineering lab and factory validation.
The candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining and executing all aspects of system validation space like test readiness, test automation, test plans, test environments (SW/HW), test collaterals, debug issues. Executing not only the pure software validation of the tools but also integrating the software and hardware validation through Intel's hardware. The candidate will be part of the first line of engagement and support for the users on requests, consultations, training, tool knowledge and issue sightings or resolution. As part of the role, the candidate will also have the opportunity to interact with cross geo and sites users to influence and guide them on the success of their validation process.
In this role, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Develop and/or improve test plans based on test strategy. Conduct test plan reviews with team engineers.
- Enable functional, stability, and performance tests to qualify various aspects of SW/HW interactions.
- Define the test framework, test preconditions, and other test functions to enable users to test functionality.
- Review and maintain user tool documentation to use it when delivering training to users.
- Participate and contribute in design, test and implementation reviews to understand functionality.
- First level triage and debug of issues reported by the system integration tests or users.

Qualifications
Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum qualifications:
- Candidate must have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field of study with 4+ years of experience in lieu of degree.
- Working experience in quality and validation/verification practices.
- Practical knowledge in C# or Python.
- Advanced English level.
- Candidate must have unrestricted permanent right to work in Costa Rica.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience on system test hardware validation (PPV or similar).
- Experience on product development engineering or test development engineering.
- Testing automation practices (unit test, regression test or similar).
- Source control management (GitHub or similar).
- Agile methodologies (Scrum).
- Firmware knowledge (BIOS or similar).

Work Model for this Role
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
