Overall objective of job:

• The Value Access Manager will build up a sustainable relationship and develop engagement plan with healthcare authorities including local Healthcare Security Administration and Health Commission
• The Value Access Manager will shape healthcare policy and explore the reimbursement opportunities at national and local level to improve patient access to Spinraza and pipeline products of Biogen

Essential duties and responsibilities:

• Develop the regional market access/policy shaping strategic plan for Biogen medicines and align the strategy with cross-functions to maximize patient access
• Build up strong relationship with policy makers and payers at national and local level on rare disease and healthy aging areas
• Develop strategic programs with the national and local (western China) authorities or associations to achieve favorable healthcare policy environment
• Lead cross-functional team to explore new reimbursement opportunities and initiate negotiation with local payers at city or provincial level for rare disease medicines in western region
• Provide policy analysis and insight to support business decisions effectively and work closely with other functions, Marketing/Sales and Medical Affairs team to deliver good business result and patient access

Essential knowledge and skills:

• Bachelor degree or above
• A minimum of five (5) years of biotechnology or pharmaceutical experience in market access role (rare disease and specialty care product experience is preferred)
• Fluency in English (verbal and written) is required
• Excel & Power point in Microsoft Office software
