Job Description
Eaton Corporation’s GEIS division is seeking a Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE) Manager. This position may be based at our Syracuse, NY or Highland, IL facility. Position Overview: Eaton’s Global Energy Infrastructure Solutions (GEIS) division is constantly pushing forward and looking ahead, advancing electrical and instrumentation products in new and innovative ways. Eaton's GEIS organization manufactures over 100,000 products for NEC and IEC applications, including: conduit fittings and cable glands, industrial control and electrical apparatus, enclosures, industrial luminaires (including LED), plugs and receptacles, drilling and marine products, commercial construction, solar solutions, industrial and commercial cabletray, mechanical hanging components, and bracing products. The incumbent will be responsible for VAVE products that produce a high profit margin and greater value to our customers. This role will provide the opportunity drive innovation from ideation through execution while collaborating cross-functionally with Marketing, Sales, and Operations. The incumbent must possess the capability to align product growth with the division’s overall strategic vision through project management. We make what matters work. In this function you will: Direct and manage the VAVE Engineering team while also driving a culture of growth, development and continuous improvement Proactively identify and resource cost-out projects to drive Value Added Value Engineering (VAVE) Organize and champion Kaizen cost-out events Partner with global resources from the Eaton India Innovation Center (EIIC) to execute VAVE projects Provide project support to the lead engineers, including technical and organizational support Promote an environment of cross-functional engagement Report monthly metrics, identify resource requirements, and forecast annual goals Provide guidance for 3rd party certifications (ex. Experience with 3D modeling software (e.g. Solidworks, Inventor, etc.) Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future Preferred Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Engineering, Engineering Management, or Business Administration.
