The position supports the Value Stream Management Team (VSM) and the Risk Management Team. The intern supports VSM and Tooling Management (TM) workshops, supports activity planning and steering, support during onsite supplier VSM workshops, supports back office data input and reporting. The intern will also work on on-site supplier VSM workshops, back office data input and reporting.

The qualified intern should expect to contribute & improve in the following functions:

• Travel to suppliers with consultants to support project specific assignments.
• Generate summary reports from the workshops attended.
• Report assignment summaries for the department.
• Update and track IT systems relevant to value stream and tool management.
• Generate weekly, monthly and quarterly reports.
• Support for value stream creation using software systems.
• Give input into supplier nomination process from a risk management standpoint.
• Further improve quality of the risk management data on the BMW network.

• Pursuing a a technical degree with Finance minor preferred.
• Computer skills are required, to include: MS Office, MS Excel, MS Power-Point.
• Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (not just in major).
• Have full-time status at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States.
• Completed at least 30 credit hours at time of application.
• Ability to work full-time (40 hours / week).
• Transfer students must have a GPA from current university.
• MUST ATTACH A COPY OF UNOFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT. 
• Complete and pass a substance abuse test before the work term. 
• THE WORK TERM DATES ARE (January 3rd until May 6th).
