Job Description

The Veeva Clinical Vault (VCV) Release Manager will enter an established and growing Central Release Team to manage varied Releases on an important Strategic Platform within AstraZeneca. You will own the Release Strategy, Release Process, Configuration Management, Schedule, and Release continuous improvement for the VCV Platform, whilst contributing to and adopting best-practice in the Central Release Team.

The position sits within the Science and Enabling Units IT organization within AstraZeneca where our goal is to deliver the best science IT capabilities in biopharma, and ultimately benefit our patients. The VCV Platform itself is used by several Business Functions, and therefore there are several demand sources as well as Product Releases from Veeva. 

There will be substantial opportunity to influence the direction of delivery practices on VCV, which should be agile and robust. You will coordinate work across Projects and continuous development through several SCRUM Teams, and establish yourself as a key component of the Core Capability Team. 

The position requires Release Management domain expertise, as well as an applied understanding of Scaled Agile (SAFe) methodologies. You will be skilled in CI/CD implementation, and have previous experience in working with high performing Agile Teams. All development work is currently released within the Jira Release capability and will also need to be maintained to support any reporting required from an audit and regulatory perspective.
