The Vendor Manager can be based either at our Södertälje site, which is one of the world's largest pharmaceutical manufacturing units or at our Gothenburg Research & Development site, one of AstraZeneca’s three strategical R&D hubs. Main Responsibilities

The Vendor Manager has overall responsibility for handling and partnering with external partners for AstraZeneca. Utilizing our tools and systems you will drive our values, brand and Employee Value Proposition via our external partners. You will be the specialist who strives for best practice, excellence and consistency.

With a focus on day-to-day operations as well as building creative strategies in partnership with our Global Talent Acquisition Leads. Your operations mindset will provide you with insights into external market trends and internal recruitment trends. You will provide training and mentorship to HR Business Partners, Recruitment Partners, Hiring Managers on engaging with suppliers and validated methodology with selection and compliance.

Liaising with our Global Talent Acquisition Leads you will assist in building recruitment strategies for key areas of the business. You will partner with COEs to assist with the development and local implementation of enterprise-wide processes and tools aligned with Global and local standards. Service delivery is key, and you will align these needs and provide metrics and analytics to ensure that performance against critical metrics is met.

You will have the opportunity to work with a variety of external providers – including, but not limited to MSP, RPO, background screening providers, search agencies, staffing agents and recruiting technologies.

Essential Skills

As an experienced recruitment services delivery specialist, you have a consultative approach to business challenges and are highly proficient in providing consistent solutions. You are detail-focused and confident analyzing and presenting data. With supplier management skills and a deep understanding of the recruitment and staffing process, you will truly understand how to work effectively with external partners.

Your inquisitive and curious nature lends you to be knowledgeable about what makes ‘outstanding’. You’ll also enjoy investing time in what methods and solutions will be the up and coming ‘best in class’.

Your key accountabilities will include:

  • Partnering with our external partners to drive improvement in quality, performance and cost per KPI’s.
  • Negotiating, preparing and reviewing contractual agreements in partnership with Global Procurement.
  • The main point of contact for responding effectively to vendor queries, whether this is from an internal or external standpoint.
