About The Role:
We are looking for a Team Lead to join one of our amazing Vendor Relations Management teams to oversee the appropriate supplier strategy for our client, a major global player in e-commerce and technology. Our business partners are both translation agencies and freelance translators, and a crucial part of this role is to assure their availability, high quality of service and competitive pricing. At the same time, we need to coordinate our activities with other internal and external teams participating on the project, so big picture perspective is needed. This is a strategic role, perfect for an experienced professional who enjoys complex tasks in communication, organization, and coordination.
Responsibilities:
• Focus on effective cooperation with other teams involved in the project to achieve high level of service for our client
• Support all team members in creating the overall vendor strategy
• Train new team members, as well as motivate, guide and guarantee process knowledge of the team
• Operational management – plan & oversee financial results, suggest and execute cost improvement strategies
• Suggest potential automation, improvement, and tools needed to increase overall efficiency
• Support team members in client and/or production escalations
• Track performance of each team member
• Step in recruitment/sourcing matters when needed and when there is shortage of capacity in the team
• Monitor market trends and incorporate them into the team’s routine
Requirements:
• This is a senior position, so at least 4 years of vendor management, supply chain development or management experience is expected
• Experience in localization is a big plus, but we can teach you the specifics of this field if you don’t have it, so you only need the will to learn
• Advanced written and spoken English
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Organized personality with strong ability to prioritize
• Good knowledge of MS Office, with special focus on Excel
• Tech-savviness is welcome, since we are always striving for process improvements and the increase of effectiveness via new tools and solutions
