SUMMARY: 

To a team that is fully dedicated to one client – a global technology company – we are currently looking for an experienced professional to act as Vendor Relations Manager. This is an independent role – you’ll be responsible for your own set of languages, owning the whole cycle of vendor management from recruitment and onboarding to capacity and performance management. You will work closely with our language quality managers and colleagues from the production teams to achieve the best possible delivery. Although the role is independent and you’ll need to be able to make your own decisions, there is a great team of colleagues to back you up when you need it!

WHAT WOULD YOU DO: 

•    Identify, attract, hire, and onboard suitable language vendors both individual translators and larger language agencies. To achieve that, you will also act as a business partner to our internal teams which are responsible for delivery of translations to our clients. You will need to clearly understand the requirements for these vendors - in other words, what kind of translators and language service providers we are looking for. 
•    You will be responsible for keeping good relationships with your vendors but also for negotiations related to the volumes of work and related margins. 
•    You will be responsible for performance management of dedicated vendors.
•    Focus on vendor support and coordination: Occasionally, you will be helping our vendors to onboard into our systems and processes and keep contact with them. We will also need you to keep all information on your vendors up-to-date in our systems for the other members of the vendor management team. 
•    Effective support for the client and clear communication are key as well.

WHAT YOU SHOULD HAVE: 

•    Proven experience in vendor management in localization
•    Experience with web-search, preferably with sourcing candidates / vendors via various channels and social networks 
•    Good communication skills 
•    Ability to establish and to keep long-lasting relationships with business partners, both internal and external 
•    Process-oriented and improvement-focused mindset 
•    Fluency in English, both spoken and written
•    Analytical skills and advanced skills in MS Office, Excel in particular
•    Ability to multitask and meet deadlines while working under pressure
