We are looking for a new colleague to join our team as a Vendor Relations Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the relationships with a strong digital community.

Your work at RWS will be to identify, screen and onboard translators and other freelancers around the world and maintain an engaged relationship with them. 

 

 

Responsibilities:  

As a Vendor Relations Manager in the Machine Learning team, you will cover the following responsibilities:  

  • Act as a business partner to our internal teams who are responsible for the delivery of non-linguistic and data training services to our clients.  

  • Identify, attract and onboard suitable resources.  

  • Negotiate competitive prices with resources to establish a fruitful collaboration.  

  • Maintain good relationships with the community, while negotiating competitive prices for different types of projects/tasks.  

  • Follow designed processes and strategies to engage with the community to achieve business goals and integrate all activities within the company strategy.  

  • Monitor, analyze and report on achievements and progress. 

  • Identify potential improvements in processes, supplier solutions and communication strategies.   

  • Maintain internal information systems to make sure all resource-related information is up-to-date at all times. 

 

 

Requirements: 

  • 1-3 years of experience in supply chain management, vendor/community management, or similar, ideally in an international environment.  

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. 

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the capability of building relationships and influence stakeholders. 

  • Proficient intercultural communication skills. 

  • Intermediate/Advanced level of Excel and other data-processing applications.  

  • Process-oriented and improvement-focused mindset with ‘can-do’ attitude. 

  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines while working under pressure. 

  • Passion for Artificial Intelligence and data training are considered a plus.
