Position Overview

Next47 is seeking a Venture Partner who will:

• Contribute to sourcing compelling new investments by meeting with founders and entrepreneurs; attending relevant conferences and networking events; and engaging new prospects
• Assist in evaluating new investments, including expert diligence of tech and development team and processes
• Provide architectural and strategic guidance for internal technology development projects
• Serve as an advisor to portfolio companies and offer guidance on best practices to portfolio companies as well as members of the Next47 investment team

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

• Master’s degree or PhD from a top-tier program
• A technical bachelor’s degree such as Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, or a demonstrable record of highly technical equivalent work experience
• 20+ years of total work experience, with of mix progressive experience within high growth startups, startup advisory, and investing
• Strong experience with startup and VC communities in Silicon Valley
• Excellent interpersonal and networking skills with proven ability to develop and maintain effective business relationships necessary for sourcing investment opportunities
• Proven experience as an Investor and Advisor to startups, with present and/or past Board Director or Observer experience as a plus
• Ability to interpret data and provide relevant conclusions/recommendations in a group setting
• Excellent organizational skills
• Self-starter with strong work ethic
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
