Siemens Smart Infrastructure are recruiting a Vertical Market Manager for the Industrial Sector to help our customers be smarter, more sustainable and more profitable. This role will be home based but the successful candidate will be expected to travel to visit customers across the UK & Ireland. The role is to lead the Vertical Market approach for the Industry Sector, providing an experienced point of reference for key markets, delivering strategic marketing and business development expertise in order to stimulate growth for the Siemens Smart Infrastructure Division: Act as a focal point for the Industry Sector for both customers and internal stakeholders with a primary focus on Food & Beverage and Chemicals sectors as well as Battery Gigafactories and Vertical Farming. Assess and represent back into the business a detailed understanding of future market potential in the Industry Sector and build a pipeline in a 2-5 year window. Create and maintain a Vertical Market Strategy for the Industry Sector in conjunction with internal stakeholders. Identify existing, new and enhanced opportunities to drive future business (secure, leverage, expand) growth. Drive and co-ordinate sales excellence and enablement activities (strategic marketing, sales analytics, portfolio analysis, etc) within Siemens Smart Infrastructure for the Industry market vertical. Be a focal point for the business in terms of market knowledge, crystallise intelligence about new markets and potential vertical market offerings, and assess how to leverage existing portfolio. Champion the supporting processes and activities required to drive and stimulate dynamic portfolio and business development activity (business cases /value propositions, internal stakeholder engagement, etc). Lead on specific and appropriate business development opportunities until point of handover to an agreed Business Unit Sales lead. Coordinate handover of new leads / growth opportunities with business unit sales / BD teams as well as collaboration with other Siemens businesses. Experience required: Essential Proven high value sales experience in a technology or project delivery business Successful track record in value based selling and business development Commercially astute with high integrity Highly driven, resilient and agile Capable of building sustainable relationships across the industrial sector and strong influencing skills with credibility at Board level internally and externally A pro-active hard worker with high energy levels, who uses creativity to tackle complex problems Degree qualified (or equivalent) in a business or technically related subject area Desirable Intimate knowledge of Food & Beverage and Chemical sectors. Experience in low carbon energy and /or smart building solutions. Understanding of the UK industrial sector and its customers Possess a good understanding of the way in which complex multi portfolio projects are bid, contracted and delivered in order to influence and challenge every aspect of the win strategy We’ve got quite a lot to offer.
