Job Title / Role: Vertical (direct) Sales Professional Organization: Lead Country South Africa Location: Midrand, South Africa Responsibilities Responsible for growing the Siemens install base in the Mining industry through EPCM, OEM, Partners, and End-Customers in Africa Plan sales volumes and potential of target EPCM, OEM, Partners, and End-Customers Provide information via CRM for forecasts and planning Analyse and evaluate markets (both technology and product portfolio) and needs of potential or existing EPCM, OEM, Partners, and End-Customers Investigate and evaluate specific business opportunities for the EPCM, OEM, Partners and End-Customer related product and service portfolio Prepare EPCM, OEM, Partners, and End-Customer contacts, build and maintain a customer focused network Develop opportunities in conjunction with other Siemens BUs, Divisions and Operating Companies Prepare and negotiate projects and proposals in cooperation with other involved professionals and management Coordinate the realization of assignments, may coordinate and contribute to set up respective product developments, projects or services programs for the EPCM, OEM, Partners and End-Customers May act as point of contact in commercial matters Complete sales and revenue related key reporting Contribute to the development of an After Sales Service that is focused on EPCM, OEM, Partner and End-Customer needs Management of EPCM, OEM, Partner, and End-Customer base, both existing and potential across all business disciplines Growth of EPCM, OEM, Partner and End-Customer base and market volumes Drive sales and growth against defined budget and EPCM, OEM, Partners, and End-Customer base Tender preparation skills will be an advantage Development of Customer Base Customer Development Plan figures are captured annually and monitored quarterly EPCM, OEM, Partners and End-Customers base developed in line with target setting agreements Relationship building and networking meets departmental and customer requirements (exhibitions, customer support etc) New business development and maintaining existing customers Established and credible relationship with customer/partner/ EPC network in the mining industry will be an advantage Customer Support Management/Coordination of client (Customer centricity critical) Resolution of queries meets EPCM, OEM, Partner and End-Customer expectations, within business parameters Customer enquiries are handed over to internal sales for preparation of quotation Reporting Projects and Opportunities are captured and maintained in the CRM Tool Customer contact details complete, accurate and UpToDate Activities to be logged and updated in CRM Tool. Competitor analyses captured in CRM Tool. General CRM fields complete, accurate and UpToDate Feedback/Progress Sessions with Management Administration CRM Tool UpToDate (budgets, forecasts, quotation reports, activities, opportunities, etc) Ongoing follow up on orders and receivables. Adherence to company processes (Compliance, LOA, Signatures, etc) Communication Skills Exceptional overall communication skills will be required Effective communication Demonstrate understanding of “value-added” to the EPCM, OEM, Partners and End-Customers Comfortable with cold calling and establishing new relationships Consultative selling techniques Exceptional negotiations skills Gain acceptance for concepts and directions with all stakeholders Siemens policies, procedures, and processes Understand Siemens policies and processes in order to provide a specific service to the business Requirements Customer centric and Team player Preferable coming from automation, electrical or process background Positive, Ambitious and Tenacious Person (Go getter attitude) Self-driven and Efficient 5-8 Years Account Management or Sales experience in in the mining industry Travel local, cross border and international Position Location: South Africa, preferible Gauteng Our culture: Our culture embraces different perspectives, open debate, and the will to challenge convention.
