Job Summary The Vice President, Acquisitions and Divestitures will manage all the day-to-day aspects of human resources related to global acquisitions, divestitures, and other transactional activity. The position will be part of the global cross-functional transaction team for Eaton and will work cross-functionally as well as within the HR function with the HR regional and corporate CoE's and HR business partners to manage transactions. Job Responsibilities Responsibilities include: Advise the business, the business development group and the legal department on HR issues related to transactions Performing strategic HR analysis and advice on valuation inputs, risk assessment and mitigation strategies Have responsibility for high level project management and direction of HR transaction team Plan for and problem solve HR issues related to the transaction and the integration Work collaboratively with other functional experts and the business to understand issues and come to solutions Review, comment and negotiation of purchase and sale documents and other legal agreements Satisfy completion of conditions or other matters required to close a transaction Assist with and providing HR expertise to related projects, such as Joint Ventures and Legal Entity Simplification. Qualifications Qualifications Preferred education level: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution required; Law degree preferred. Years and area of experience required: 10 years’ experience in M&A; 5 years' with direct working knowledge in the HR function. Technical knowledge: Execution of M&A deals start to finish, compensation, benefit and HR principles. Soft skills: Executive influence, communication, collaboration and coaching skills.
