Rystad Energy is seeking a VP of Business Development who will be responsible in identifying and executing new business opportunities, and building senior level relationships for developing and retaining business across China. There will be a strong emphasis on new business development.

The position will require:

• B2B business development experience within the oil & gas, finance, renewables or professional services industry focused on energy – specifically in China
• Deep understanding of business ethics in China with the ability to navigate complex, often bureaucratic, business organizations with the ultimate goal of expanding Rystad Energy’s business dealings in China
• Experience with business or market intelligence within the Upstream Oil & Gas, Oil Field Services or Financial sectors is desirable
• Proven track record in developing and maintaining high value accounts in a professional services environment
• Proven track record of achieving sales revenue targets through a combination of new business generation and existing account management
• Relevant industry experience in upstream oil & gas is desirable, but not essential
• Professional conduct and reputation as the key representative for the firm in China
• Ability to present to senior management at a high level within relevant organizations
• Frequent travel within the region
• Native Mandarin language skills and professional fluency in English
