We are currently looking for a Vice President, Corporate Security to be based in our Global Headquarter in Hong Kong. He/ She will be providing strategic direction and tactical management to ensure the security of guest and staff at all times. Serving as an advisor on all security-related matters to other Corporate Offices and properties around the world. He/ She will be responsible for coordinating ongoing review of existing security programmes and new initatives for all properties around the world. The VP, Corporate Security will be a key advisor and counselor to each property's Security Director and Security Manager, supporting them in terms of professional expertise.
As the Vice President, Corporate Security, we will rely on you to:
- Be responsible for internal security programs as well as for integrating industrial security concepts into design, engineering and construction of new facilities, and in the renovation of existing installations
- Co-ordinate security issues between SLIM and all properties, conduct security audits at each hotel at least once yearly
- Ensure that all properties have a functioning Loss Control Committee, staffed by management and rank and file staff
- Develop, publish, and implement security policies and guidelines
- Provide technical assistance to manage issues of physical security, access control, CCTV systems, and other security related resources
- Available to evaluate, discuss, and if necessary, travel to any property location as circumstances dictate
- Provide assistance in the development of Crisis Management manuals in all properties and insure that they are updated at least once yearly
- Monitor the political environment in all countries that could have an affect to the safety and security of guest, employees, and of owner’s assets.
- Fully committed on embracing and on cascading the Guiding Principles of the Shangri-La Strategic Plan
We are looking for someone who has:
- 10+ years of relevant experience in corporate security management field
- Effective negotiating, influencing and communication skills
- Confident, assertive yet collaborative approach, organized, ability to motivate team members
- Articulate with the ability to clearly explain business topics
- High level of intergrity, ethical, able to work well under pressure
- Strong security leadership experience in managing safety and security functions with expertise in risk, security control and crisis management
- Experience working in corporate hospitality industry is an advantage
- Candidates with experience from uniformed services will be considered
