Vice President / General Manager - Power Distribution Components Business Line Location: Vienna, Austria Job Summary: Reporting to the President Power Management & Controls Components Division, Electrical Sector EMEA, the VP/GM will set the strategic direction and all aspects of the business planning process for the Power Distribution Components Business Line (PDC BUL). Primary responsibilities include leading and managing all operational activities for the PDC BUL providing strategic and operational leadership to the product lines and operations teams and associated support functions. This role will work closely with both direct and matrixed leadership teams to ensure that financial and growth objectives are met. Responsibilities also include developing and implementing the overall business strategy to support achievement of the organization’s financial metrics and goals as defined by the profit and strategic plans. The VP/GM will lead the full P&L responsibility for the associated product lines. The VP/GM will also interface strongly within EMEA corporate offices to align business and corporate plans. Job Responsibilities: Direct activities of the business, setting direction and strategy to achieve growth and profitability objectives Provide guidance and leadership to staff in the development and deployment of business plans and operations. Translates segment strategic plans and GPL strategic plans into action plans that fit the needs of the business Responsible for E2E business results including product development, product management, business development, sales, and operations management to ensure top line sales and bottom line profit objectives are met Develop short and long-term plans for the organization including critical headcount identification, new product development and technology road mapping, operational and plant investments, and achievement of profit plan Achieve productivity gains and manage budget to ensure operational and financial goals are met Monitor business performance against plan and adjust as needed Develop and manage organizational strategic planning and road mapping Drive a culture proactively focused on Environmental, Health, and Safety, driving towards zero-incident safety culture mindset. Stay informed of market and customer trends to anticipate developments and plan accordingly Identify and develop possibilities for future business growth including the identification and leadership of the merger and acquisition process Ensure customer satisfaction, high levels of service and promote continuous improvement efforts to drive repeated business and customer loyalty Effectively build a high potential leadership team and organization capability Effectively collaborate across functions (working in the matrix) to build joint objectives to reach regional goals Act as role model for Eaton ethical standards of business conduct Support the regional journey to implement the Digital mindset into the region Act as Eaton’s nominated legal representative and Managing Director for the legal entity in Austria Drive cash flow conversion continuous improvement Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Engineering, Master's degree preferred Minimum of 15 years of experience with progressive levels of accountability and responsibility in Product Line Management, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Sales and/or related support functions Minimum of 7 years of managerial experiences (incl. leader of leaders) Significant experience in leading a multi-million P&L with E2E responsibility Experience in managing multiple site operations Strong knowledge and experience with process tools such as profit planning, strategic planning, Organizational Capability Assessment, Corporate Accounts, ProLaunch, Lean System/Six Sigma, Supply Chain Management, Fixed Capital Optimization and Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) processes Strong Commercial understanding Fluent English and ideally German language skills Highly motivational management and leadership skills Experiences in dealing with co-determined and/or unionized locations, strong negotiation skills Experienced in multi-cultural working environments and developing communication strategies across them Strong business acumen and high level of strategic skills Candidate applying to the vacancy will be subject of the background screening. – if applicable #LI-LG1 What you will get from us Eaton’s mission is to improve the quality of life and the environment through the use of power management technologies and services.
