Job Summary

The Vice President, Global Financial Shared Services Operations will develop strategic direction for shared service centers and oversee and manage global financial shared service operations encompassing 5 centers and roughly 1,000 people.  Responsible for overall strategic direction, service delivery and operational engagement/coordination while driving continuous improvement efforts across GFSS centers.  Will partner closely with global process leaders and IT organization to drive standardization, new process initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts.  Primary point of escalation for executive finance leaders in the businesses and regions.

 

Job Responsibilities

Strategic oversight of staffing, service approach, and continuous improvement focus for global financial services

Manage operating budget of ~$70M annually

Manage staffing and capability development of ~1,000 person organization in 5 regional centers

Responsible for overall service delivery and metrics performance for all global operations supported

Drive continuous improvement in service delivery and operating metrics across centers

Be accountable to operations for overall service and results impacting our businesses

Partner with global process leaders to align consistent practices and processes across centers

Partner with global process leaders and IT organization on refreshes, upgrades & enhancements to systems and tools

Explore new technology solutions and assess value to the organization.  Oversee deployment in centers where applicable

Implement new service initiatives and enhancements (i.e. end to end support model and similar initiatives)

Deliver annual efficiencies in centers each fiscal year

Qualifications

Qualifications

Masters preferred, Bachelors in finance or accounting mandatory.

Strong accounting and financial acumen & expertise.  Base knowledge of financial systems and ability to assess & understand systems & technical requirements.

Experience conveying complex information, develops communication strategies, and persuades significantly diverse audiences.  Reconciles multiple stakeholder perspectives to resolve conflicts.  Ability to develop excecution strategies & drive alignment with business operations

Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in finance leadership with strong focus on:
1. Strategy development and deployment
2. Operational credibility and mindset - results driven approach
3. Global knowledge and experience including ability to manage in multi-cultural environment
4. Strong leadership attributes and interpersonal skills
5. Organizational change management skills - ability to drive change and challenge status quo
6. Understanding complex regulatory environments – learning agilit
