Job Description
Locations: Eaton EMEA (preferred locations: London, Paris, Amsterdam, Bonn, Milano, Madrid) Manage and direct the sales activities to achieve our growth and development targets for strategic accounts (Datacenter, Utilities, Heavy Industry, Marine, Energy Transition and Renewables MOEMs, Brand-Labels, Healthcare, Special Distributors) for Eaton Electrical Sector EMEA sales organization, by providing strategic, business, and operational leadership to the Strategic accounts sales team and associated support functions. The VP SA&A prime responsibility is to develop successful commercial strategies and tactics to grow the focused Segment strategic accounts, ensuring that Eaton meets the target growth, end to end profitability and cost to serve in the defined segments whilst applying and improving Eaton standard work practices. The VP SA&A will work in close coordination with the VP Core Sales EMEA, the EMEA Zone Sales Leaders as well as the Segment and Divisons/BUs Leaders in order to ensure coordinated and effective deployment of the sales strategies and strategic account growth and customer experience. The role also includes supervision for the Industry Association, Standardization, Regulations and Brand protection activities. Essential Functions : Sales strategy and growth planning Contribute valuable markets insights and sales input to build Segment growth strategies alongside the Segment and Divisions teams Nurture relations with important stakeholders -key Strategic accounts, sales organisations within and without the region, business units and trade bodies Ensure consistency between Strategic Accounts and country planning process Sales operations Build and maintain robust Account Plans for the focused Strategic Accounts Put individual targets and plans in place, support account managers in achieving their plans Ensure metrics and cadence cover leading and lagging indicators to drive attainment of Profit Plan and Strategic Plan objectives Maintains pipeline, orders and sales reports; cooperate with BUs and SCM on SIOP to ensure alignment on factory capacity and deliveries, and with SIS and finance on revenue recognition Business Development Nurture relationship with key account customers executives and builds a deep understanding of the target organizations -what are their goals, how they work, influencers etc. Negotiate and influence at executive and management level resulting in contracts and agreements. Organize approval of commercial agreements in line with LOA and organizational procedures. Coach and support account managers in important customer negotiations Use ‘Consulting Sales’, ‘Deal Winning Pursue Team’ and all best practices methodology to win business Leadership Create enthusiasm around our strategic, long-term goals for Strategic Segment Sales in EMEA to drive Eaton strategic and commercial goals as jointly established with Segments and Divisions Provide clarity on the transformation needed to achieve the long-term goals and a practical path to achieve those goals. Foster trust between various parts of the organization to work together towards those goals, by focusing on end-to-end processes and problem-solving that builds on inter-dependencies Act as a role model in line with Eaton ethical standards of conduct. Work in cooperation with Marketing, Sales Operations, Finance, HR, Divisions, Business Units and Eaton departments putting Eaton’s overall interest above immediate local benefit. Act as Eaton’s nominated legal representative when/as requested Identify and develop possibilities for future business growth, including possible acquisitions, bringing them to the attention of the relevant central team for further investigation and possible next steps. Build Organsiational Capability by developing competencies as well as identifying talent gaps. Qualifications Minimum of Master’s University Degree, preferably business related, or equivalent gained through experience, plus minimum of 10 years of experience in customer interactions and business growth Proven track record of achieving business success as a Leader. Deep negotiation skills and experiences Experienced Leader of People, with proven track record of managing teams. Ability to influence decision makers like key stakeholders. Intercultural awareness. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated executive presence – board room quality – able to represent Eaton to senior managers externally and internally. Fluent in English language.
