OCIS is a K-12 International School which aims to integrate international education with Chinese values via a bilingual curriculum. We are a young school in search of faculty with the vision to shape it into a robust program for the future.

The Foreign Vice Principal will create consistency and standardize the English curriculum of the school within the IB framework.

An expert at wearing many hats, the ideal candidate not only has a strong academic vision for the school, but is also well-rounded in community-student engagement, personnel management, and acts as a mentor and role-model, leads by example, and supports the foreign teacher team. The ideal candidate is not afraid to take the initiative to fill in any needed gaps in this start-up school.

The foreign vice principal also reports to the Chinese principal on the development of the English curriculum and has a sensitivity and deep understanding of cultural differences.

• Location: Shenyang/Benxi
• Start date: January 2019
• Contract length: 2 years, renewable by mutual consent
• Schedule: Monday to Friday 7:30 - 4:50
• Class sizes: small class sizes

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
• All travel included in an annual travel subsidy of 8,000
• 30,000 – 35,000rmb per month

REQUIREMENTS
• At least 3 years’ experience teaching
• At least 1 years’ demonstrated experience in a leadership role
• Experience in a start-up or new school environment an asset
• PGCE or Education related degree an asset
• Experience in IB, Reggio, or Montessori a plus
