PETA Asia is dedicated to establishing and protecting the rights of all animals. We operate under the simple principle that animals are not ours to eat, wear, experiment on, or use for entertainment. PETA focuses its attention on the four areas in which the largest numbers of animals suffer the most intensely for the longest periods of time: in factory farms, laboratories, the clothing trade, and the entertainment industry.

PETA Asia works through public education, cruelty investigations, research, animal rescue, legislation, special events, celebrity involvement, and protest campaigns.

• Create videos, from concept to completion, to share via the organization’s Chinese social media channels, including but not limited to Facebook and Instagram
• Produce print graphics and advertisements to use in the organization’s online work, including but not limited to Facebook and Instagram
• Use discretion in selecting and editing appropriate footage for videos
• Perform editing duties, such as suggesting or selecting music, correcting faulty footage, and adding special effects, as needed
• Take responsibility for quality control of videos
• Abide by any legal guidelines regarding video production
• Stay current on social media trends and capabilities
• Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor

• Proven experience with video editing software, including but not limited to Adobe Premiere Pro, EDIUS Pro, and Final Cut Pro
• Extensive knowledge of and experience with Adobe Photoshop
• Strong working knowledge of all stages of video editing, including assembling recorded raw footage into a finished product
• Strong creative and digital technology skills
• Sophisticated understanding of and appreciation for the creative process
• Thorough knowledge of animal rights issues and PETA campaigns
• Proven ability to work under tight deadlines in a professional manner
• Commitment to the objectives of the organization

• To create and develop exciting, cutting-edge Chinese videos and print graphics, including print advertisements, with the use of video editing and graphic design software to help promote the goals of the organization
• To improve existing videos aimed at promoting animal rights for the organization’s Chinese social media channels
