VIDEO ENGINEER 

We are looking for highly motivated video engineers to join a fast growing global production team. The successful applicants will join part of a dynamic team working on a diverse range of project types across some of the world’s biggest brands. Overview of Job

The successful applicant would be responsible for the end to end production process on localization projects. Main tasks consist of:

• Technical analysis of incoming projects to understand client requirements
• Preparing and organising project assets coming from multiple sources

• Documenting technical information as required
• Extraction of localisable text from source
• Creation of project templates for localisation – recreation of text layers using reference and textless videos, reworking of existing projects to adapt them for easier text replacement, cherry picking relevant bits from multiple toolkits
• Localisation of projects into multiple languages
• Encoding
• Editing – object masking/rotoscoping, product image replacement, scene replacement, etc.
• Technical QA and finalisation as per customer specifications
• Managing and ensuring quality of deliveries of localised video to Project Management offices
• Schedule tracking and updating documentation
• Providing advice and support to non-technical colleagues and customers as required

• Thorough knowledge of software tools and equipment
• Hard working, conscientious, proactive, strong people skills, self-motivated
• Excellent communication skills both oral and written in English
• Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines, thoroughness and attention to detail are essential
• Ability to problem-solve and troubleshoot

Skills and Experience

• Experience and good knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects.
• Basic/Intermediate knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator (focus on text layers)
• Fluency in English language is a must.
• Knowledge, understanding and experience of typography and font use
• Graphical art or design skills
• Experience and understanding of
  • bitmap and vector image editing
  • non-linear video editing
  • compositing and effects
  • animation
  • video encoding
  • general video production
• Competent use of Windows and fundamental IT.
• Some knowledge of ExtendScript/JavaScript (for AE scripting) an advantage
• Knowledge of at least one foreign language (besides English) an advantage.
• Understanding of audio production and editing an advantage.
• Experience or interest of creating videos from brief an advantage
