Video Media Manager

Overview

Are you passionate about creating original and compelling videos? Do you want to lead the next phase of our video strategy and delivery for a publicly traded company? Bentley Systems is seeking a talented and experienced leader who is adept at storytelling and developing video content strategies for all types of digital delivery channels. This position will manage an in-house video production team, and create, edit, produce, and direct video projects. 

In addition to proven leadership experience, candidate must also have an online portfolio and demo reel demonstrating a history of video production, to be considered for this position.

 

We need the best video storyteller in the industry to deliver impactful and engaging videos.

 

Management Responsibilities

  • Develop a high-preforming culture of innovation, creativity, and trust within your team, and lead advancement by recruiting, training, and mentoring to create a strong, high-functioning, empowered, and self-reliant team of video production leaders.
  • Collaborating internally with your team and ensuring they have the proper tools, training, and elements to successfully support the team and the goals.
  • Bring a high level of creative direction with developing scripts, stories, and producing final content.
  • Identify trends in digital video applications and hardware and new forward-thinking technologies to meet new business needs and create new business opportunities. 
  • Work closely with management on strategic initiatives.
  • Serve as an expert on the functionality, architecture, and implementation of digital video content delivery across the organization.
  • Engage with multiple clients/business units/internal stakeholders to understand their project requirements. Help translate those requirements into clear direction, ensuring projects are consistently delivered on time, in scope, and on budget.
  • Develop a strong familiarity with Bentley’s solutions, products, and services and the work our users do with them.
  • Ensure all video projects balance corporate branding and quality standards, while still meeting the expectations of client requests/priorities. 
  • Build production schedules and timelines.
  • Establish and drive high-level production standards to ensure a consistent portfolio of exceptional quality digital media content. Maintain an internal Wiki site to help proliferate knowledge of video standards and requirements across the organization.
  • Provide consistent and exceptional communication back to stake holders on periodical process / workflow changes, project progress, and delivery timelines.
  • Oversee external video resources and work with consultants on an as-needed basis for a variety of needs, whether it be video asset support for external projects or bidding / quoting on various project needs.
  • Organize and maintain efficient workflows for project file structures, consistent naming conventions, and backup / syncronization schedules to ensure file redundancy.
  • Collaborate with Video Services team to monitor all video requests to meet deadlines. Maintain visibility and open communications regarding the status of all current projects.
  • Help break down silos and collaborate with other service teams, such as creative, writing, and web, to deliver top level content that is best-in-class.

 

Video Editing / Production Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with colleagues and internal teams to develop and execute captivating creative content and video plans that reflect Bentley’s brand essence and speaks to our target market audiences. Content includes, social videos, internal announcements, product and user stories, and other enterprise projects.
  • Being able to tell a story utilizing creative visual and audio elements is key.
  • Brainstorm, advise, create, manipulate, and edit film pieces while meeting the needs and specifications of both content authors and production teams.
  • Ensure the Bentley brand is applied effectively throughout all videos.
  • Review scripts and raw material to create a production decisions based on video scenes’ objectives.
  • Input music, dialogues, graphics and effects. Create rough and final cuts for review and approvals.
  • Process webcast videos for posting to website for on demand access to ensure the final product is a polished, professional video for distribution.
  • Work with international teams to capture videos in local languages and localize videos to other languages.
  • Coordinate and produce user video interviews.

 

Requirements and Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of relevant work experience in the digital media industry including video editing, demonstration of excellent written and oral communications, effective interpersonal skills, strong people and project management, and strong formal presentation abilities
  • 2 years of management experience in digital media, gathering client requirements, writing process and/or technical specifications, overseeing scheduling and delivery of projects and campaign launches, and working with teams on career development
  • Bachelor’s degree in film studies, cinematography or related field
  • Natural problem solver, who is adaptable in a fast paced environment and is highly collaborative
  • Demonstrable video editing ability with a strong portfolio
  • Experience with using Workfront to track and maintain project requirements and progress
  • Required software skills

  • Microsoft Office applications
  • Additional skills desired:
    • Camtasia
    • Adobe Illustrator
    • Familiarity with special effects, 3D and compositing
  • Requires sitting or standing at will while performing work on a computer. The role requires communication with managers, peers, and other colleagues of the company in person (on occasion), and by utilizing Microsoft Teams chat, calling, and meeting functions.
  • This role requires traveling 5-10%
