About the opportunity

This role will support the UX & Design Lead for the Digital Experience Studio, to progress and enable Fidelity’s Digital agenda and embed digital standards and high-quality design in the Dalian Digital Experience Studio to support the drive for quality, consistency and efficiency in delivering our end user experiences.

Specifically, this role will serve to feed into the design function in China, ensuring the quality and consistency of our digital products follows our Global Design Standards (GDS), interface with the UX & Design lead, channel experience and service design teams. Make sure that you and your design colleagues follow the correct UCD methodologies, latest thinking, user journeys.

Key Responsibilities

  • Acts as an advocate for Global Digital Experience across the business and maintain relationships with you stakeholders and other GDE teams.
  • Work with GDS team and be an advocate and support the latest design standards
  • Addressing design issues collaboratively and work with senior team members to solve
  • Champion the good design practices
  • Responsibility for your design delivery output in China with support
  • Help develop the design function and their perception in the business
  • Work with more senior members of the team to improve your knowledge and understanding
  • Contribute to the overall success of the UX&D function in China

Experience and Qualifications Required:

  • 0-2+ years in a digital design role
  • Demonstratable experience of designing UI for digital products
  • Experience of designing for responsive websites a plus
  • Ability to explain your approach and show how you got to a design decision with support
  • Ability to present your work to team members
  • Experience of working harmoniously with technology, marketing and businesses teams
  • Prototyping and design skills using industry standard tools
  • Experience of working with design systems.
  • Fluent in Mandarin with English and other Asia Pacific language skills welcome
  • Experience in using digital best practices for digital based solutions, continuous optimisation within a mid-large organisation
  • Influencing skills, including communication, negotiation of deadlines and requirements, management of expectation, recommendations, quality of outputs etc.
  • Demonstrable experience of working to conceptual briefs provided by an internal or external stakeholders and clients with support from more senior team members
  • Desirable but not essential skills: Gesture based design, Native Apps (Android/iOS), Voice UI, HTML/CSS/JS, conversational design
