Job Description
Join our growing User Experience (UX) team at Siemens Digital Industries Software. The UX team is part of our Digital Customer Experience group within the Global Strategy & Marketing organization and is made up of designers, researchers, and writers. As a UX team, we are working to shape the future of our end-to-end Customer Experiences. We're hiring a Visual Designer to help grow our enterprise Design System. Being a member of the UX team means you are highly collaborative, customer-focused, and ready to make a difference. We rely on human centered design methods to build experiences that directly impact the success of our customers. Responsibilities The Visual Designer will lead the design of new responsive web components and improvements for existing components for our marketing and sales design system Manage the end-to-end design and development lifecycle for components Partner closely with UX designers, interaction designers, writers, researchers, and product managers, to define consistent interaction patterns across products and services Design pixel flawless mobile-first adaptable components in Adobe XD Craft and manage our organization’s Creative Cloud Libraries Maintain an organization wide design system and roll out new digital branding guidelines Experience developing and growing an enterprise design system to scale and advocate for reusability across systems Minimum Qualifications 2+ years professional experience in Interaction Design, UX Design, or Product Design 1+ years design system creation and management Design portfolio with examples of component libraries and/or design systems Proficient with design programs such as Adobe XD, Axure, or Figma Excellent visual and interaction design skills and a keen understanding of tech trends Ability to prototype for mobile and desktop for responsive websites Strong understanding and experience with defining component guidelines Experience leveraging research and data to advise on design decisions Preferred Qualifications BA/BS or graduate degree in HCI, interaction design, or equivalent experience Strong project management and/or design management experience Experience with agile design and development methods Detail oriented and enjoys documenting standards and systems Experience supporting a complex ecosystem with multiple products Experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript Knowledge of customer experience principles and best practices Continued education in UX trends, design systems, and emerging digital technologies Ability to prioritize and manage several milestones and projects The salary range for this position is $93,400 to $168,100 and this role is eligible to earn incentive compensation.
