Job Description

Under the supervision of the Supervisor and within the limits established by the policies and procedures manual of the company and F&B Department, your responsibility will be to provide food and beverage service at the assigned point of sale. Maximize customer satisfaction by anticipating customer requests, responding positively to special requests.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

  • Responsible for executing in a qualified, autonomous and responsible manner the service and sale of food and beverages from inception to delivery of the order. 
  • Attend to all customer requests, constantly anticipating their needs.
  • Always keep the tables clean and ready for the next customer following the set standards.
  • Transport the tools and utensils necessary for the service. Control and check the condition of the products and objects of use of the assigned section.
  • Clean the tables always according to the standard with tray and in the procedure time. 
  • Orders will be taken promptly and food will be served in a timely manner as per SO/ Sotogrande standards.
  • Effectively manage your time and productivity during your shift. 
  • Always ensure a clean and equipped station for the smooth running of the service for yourself and your co-worker. 
  • Properly prepare the mise en place, as well as the well polished cutlery, glasses and everything necessary for the service. 
  • Collaborate in the assembly, service and disassembly of buffets as well as with colleagues in the preparation and development of special events. 
  • Always maintain a high level of personal hygiene and appearance. 
  • Always have a complete knowledge of the food and beverage menu, to be able to explain, recommend and sell dishes to our customers. 
  • Follow and complete instructions given by your superiors within the hotel. 
  • Attend briefing and departmental meetings. 
  • Possible hosting tasks

YOUR EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS INCLUDE: 

  • Politeness and respect for internal and external customers. 
  • Ability to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy. 
  • Organized and disciplined. 
  • Team player. 
  • Pressure tolerant. 
  • Patient. 
  • Commitment to service. 
  • Knowledge of hospitality or similar studies will be assessed. 
  • Knowledge of English & Spanish
  • Knowledge of foreign languages is an advantage. 
  • Experience in the sector will be evaluated.
  • Food handler's license (essential).
