Position Summary:

The position is for a versatile and experienced Web Developer with a strong understanding of technologies across the modern web stack. Will require writing APIs for the server, SPAs to consume them from the client, and more generally, will contribute to the continued maturation of 2K intranet web processes and tools to deliver high quality full lifecycle web experiences.

Essential Job Functions:

• Collaborate with internal teams to design, develop and deploy APIs serving internal customers
• Develop responsive dashboard reporting websites and game-connected web applications, consuming both first and third-party APIs
• Recommend, define, and implement ongoing website, infrastructure and component improvements
• Triage, root cause, and fix issues in staging and production websites
• Contribute to ongoing departmental process initiatives (documentation, unit testing, code review)
• Maintain and augment existing 2K Vegas sites both internally and externally developed

Core Competencies:

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field

• 3-5 years of experience in web development

• Must be able to communicate effectively in English, in both written and oral forms

• Proficient with PHP, HTML, JavaScript, CSS

• Proficient with at least one modern web component framework (React, Vue, Polymer, Angular)

• Ability to work in a cross-discipline team environment and interact with stakeholders from a diverse set of disciplines

• Ability to work and communicate efficiently with offsite personnel

• Team player with strong collaboration and communication skills

• Excellent problem-solving skills

Education/Experience/Skills:

• Experienced with game QA processes

• Experience with serverless web architecture patterns

• Experience designing and deploying APIs and services into AWS architecture

• Experience building API-driven SPAs

• Proficient with Node.js, git, bash

• Familiarity with unit testing methodologies

• Familiarity with both OOP and functional programming patterns
