PART-TIME English/Science Instructor (Weekends)
Location: Olympic Park, Beijing. We have a private classroom and garden.
Schedule: Weekends (Sat & Sun), 2 hours per session, up to 2 sessions per day.
About Us:
We are the Forest Club, an educational organisation dedicated to inspiring young minds through hands-on, English-immersive STEM activities in outdoor settings. Our programs fully implement the UK curriculum and aim to engage children aged 6-13. They foster curiosity and critical thinking while exploring science, technology, engineering, and math in nature.
Role Description:
We seek enthusiastic, experienced English-speaking instructors to lead weekend science sessions. Instructors will:
- Get familiar with the materials we provided, including presentations, textbooks (Science Bug), workbooks, and supplies.
- Deliver interactive, age-appropriate science/STEM activities.
- Safely guide outdoor learning in the garden, encouraging exploration and teamwork.
- Engage children with patience, creativity, and adaptability to ensure a fun, educational experience.
- Collaborate with our team to prepare additional materials and align activities with program goals.
Requirements:
- Based in Beijing
- English speaker (Native preferred).
- Preferred prior STEM/science teaching experience with children aged 6-13.
- Passion for the outdoor environment and working with young learners.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to simplify complex concepts.
- Friendly, energetic, and responsible; must prioritise child safety.
- Experience in China or in cross-cultural environments is a plus.
