Your responsibilities and tasks:

Key Result Areas:

Training to the new joinee welders/apprentice. Carryout daily welding observation on the shop floor to verify the quality and productivity, report the same and shall send / discuss with the concerns. Assist Welding engineer to set the Welding output. Assist welding engineer to maintain Welder Continuity. Assist welding engineer to qualify the welders / welding operators. Assist production dept. to deploy correct welder on the job. Carryout refreshment training to the welders as and when required. Carryout daily patrolling on the shop floor as a part of the surveillance of welding activities and report to production as a part of practice. Prepare necessary fixtures / tools required for production with the help of trainee. Liaise with local apprentice co-ordinator and technical institutes. Section and interview of students at various technical schools.

Secondary Activities:

• Prepare and maintain welder wise welding inspection reports.
• Prepare and maintain Welder continuity reports.
• Prepare and maintain welder wise defect analysis report to give necessary refreshment welding training with the help of Welding Engineer.
• Perform practical welding as a part of training / productivity to the welders.

Authority

Can stop and withdraw the welder / welding operator if he / she is not able to produce the required welding quality. Responsible for all apprentices in the Workshop. Admin in-charge of all apprentices in the Workshop. Signing of apprentice register for all apprentices in the Workshop.
