Job Description

Wellness Screener (Immediate - December 31st)

As a Wellness Screener with Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge you are the first person our colleagues see before they start their shift for the day.  You have the opportunity to provide a warm and welcoming experience for our staff while ensuring the safety and health of our Heartist and Guests. Your personalized greeting and care may dictate the course of their day.

 Summary of Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Benefits & Claims Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Provides the Heartist with flawless, proactive and sincere luxury services from an engaged and empowered workforce committed to creating a memorable experience
  • Follow Health Screening policies, procedures and service standards
  • Ensure all Accor approved screening questions are read  and responded and temperature check is done before issuing the daily wrist band
  • Follow all safety and sanitation policies
  • Ensure all staff, concession workers and contractors are passing through Wellness Screening before entering the rest of the hotel
  • Follow the ‘Denied access to Workplace Procedure’ and report any fail screening (Temperature or Questionnaire)
  • Complete Health Screening Log thoroughly and ensure accuracy of log
  • Delivery of meals to isolation rooms when required
  • Delivery of isolation packages to rooms when required
  • Prepare wrist bands for the following day and communicate accordingly with Front Office Team
  • Assist the Talent & Culture Team on projects related to Heartist Engagement, Communication, Event Organization and Administrative tasks.
  • Assist the Heartist Recognition Committee by promoting events, and be a Recognition Ambassador
  • Adhere to the hotel’s vehicle handling and safety policies while driving hotel and guest vehicles
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Hospitality/service industry an asset
  • Valid Alberta driver’s license required
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
  • Highly responsible & reliable
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team with minimum supervision

Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):

  • Sitting: 5-8 hrs/day
  • Walking: 0-3 hrs/day
  • Standing: 0-3 hrs/day
  • Bending/Reaching: 0-1 hrs/day
  • Pushing/Pulling: 0-1 hrs/day
  • Physical effort: low, required to lift up to 20lbs
  • Environmental stress: medium-working indoors & outdoors
