WELLNESS AND RECREATION DIRECTOR

 

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Wellness and Recreation Director to be part of the opening of a luxury lifestyle resort in Southern Spain.

 

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

 

The Wellness and Recreation Director is responsible for the efficient running of the department in line with brand standards, whilst meeting employee, guest and owner expectations.

 

As Wellness and Recreation Director you will establish and execute clear short- and long-term goals. You develop the strategic direction of the department, including marketing and social activities to promote the spa and wellness facilities. You proactively manage the financial P/L to maximize business opportunities.

 

You will manage internal auditing processes to ensure highest satisfaction of guests and members.

 

You will work hand-in-hand with suppliers to ensure exceptional product and service delivery. 

 

You are in charge to lead and motivate the spa and fitness/recreation team.

 

The Wellness and Recreation Director will be part of the Leadership Team reporting to the Director of Rooms and General Manager.

 

YOUR EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS INCLUDE:

 

• 3 years of experience in a comparable role in high end hospitality
• Bachelor’s Degree (Business Administration) is an asset
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a management position or supervisory position in a spa or related field
• Experience in spa therapy role is recommended
• Previous luxury hotel experience with background in financial budgeting and forecasting
• Spanish and English proficiency
• Strong interpersonal, communication, organization and follow-through skills

• Entrepreneurial spirit
• Attention to detail
