• 
  Senior Wintel systems engineer who will be responsible for servers and related Wintel technologies across a global enterprise environment as well as regional APAC domains
• The candidate requires both technical experience and the ability to interface with stakeholders across ranks and functions.

Your experience and skills

You have:

• Proficiency is required in all aspects of Wintel administration including hardware and software installation and troubleshooting, operating system configuration and security, backup and recovery, capacity planning, monitoring, performance and tuning, research and evaluation of tools and techniques, scripting and automation, standards and procedures related to the environment
• Server performance tuning and Capacity management planning including usage of SCOM and other tools like SPLUNK
• Good technical and process knowledge in designing and proposing resilient solutions encompassing High Availability and Disaster Recovery
• Independently lead projects starting from the technical evaluation phase to ascertain impact on existing systems, provide risk analysis to proposed solutions and managing resources from different teams, delivering timely the eventual goals
• Must be a team player, able to communicate and work efficaciously with different teams and tiers in the organizational hierarchy
• Must be a think-first type of a person as opposed to a doer, with the ability to think out-of-the-box
• Able and willing to take on any challenge head on, even outside the Wintel realm
• Possess the ability to spot process improvement or automation opportunities.
• Perform Tier 3 support activities for Windows 2008/12/16 member servers and Active Directory.
• Receive escalations from level 1/2 support teams and participate in on-call and weekend work rotations
• Follow-the-sun support including integration into local, regional and global virtual teams
• Adherence to change management standards.

You are:

• Minimum 5 years' experience supporting Wintel infrastructure in an enterprise environment covering Windows 2008, 2012 and 2016
• Experience in a complex global Microsoft Windows Server support environment with thorough knowledge of Microsoft Windows architecture including design and support
• Experience with installation, upgrading, and patching.
• Knowledge in the following technologies is also preferred:

o scripting like VBScript and/or Powershell

o clustering especially geo-cluster coupled with good understanding of storage technologies

o SCOM / SPLUNK

o virtualization technologies like VMWare and HyperV

• Experience supporting Microsoft Windows Server technologies running in a virtualized environment
• Familiarity with Storage technologies like NAS, SAN and backup. Knowledge of Veritas products like Volume Replicator is an added advantage
• Familiarity with multi-platform environments and integration, co-existence of those technologies
• Experience managing vendors such as Microsoft, HP, Oracle etc.
• Experience with incident management and root cause analysis
• Good understanding of technology risk aspects coupled with experience in handling internal and external audits are added advantages
• Advanced performance tuning/optimization skills.
• Ability to automate tasks with scripting
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize based on business requirements
• Understanding of ITIL processes and procedures
