What will you do?

As part of the Biosciences Division (BID) of North America Regional Marketing, located at the US California Carlsbad headquarters the Workflow and Application Content Trainer will be responsible for the development and implementation of field training tools, in alignment with Sales needs, across all product lines in this division. With the support of internal Marketing teams, the candidate will confirm that all content generated is in alignment with marketing strategies with emphasis on competitive positioning and selling.

How will you make an impact?

As part of the BID the Workflow and Application Content Trainer will contribute to the sales teams’ success by providing eLearning and face-to-face training to support the sales process of all BID product lines. The successful candidate will act as a training resource to the Regional Marketing team to align training materials with marketing programs that will lead to revenue, improved customer engagement, and growth. This is a highly visible individual contributor position where quality, clarity, and scalability are paramount to the candidate’s success.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with subject matter experts to develop learning solutions utilizing a variety of authoring tools and delivery systems
  • Collaborate with Manager and cross-functional teams to scope training requirements, objectives, and resources
  • Support the North America Regional Marketing team at the bi-annual sales meetings

How will you get here?

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in proteomics or related life science

Experience:

  • Required: 4-6 year in instructional design, curriculum generation with emphasis on web-based training modules or related training experience
  • Preferred: Field Application Scientist or Technical Sales Specialist
  • Professional Sales skills methodology and terminology
  • Working knowledge of Agile and Workfront Project Management Software

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities in an individual and team environment
  • Capable of identifying and executing alternative solutions when impediments prevent the current process from being completed
  • eLearning authoring tools and experience in script writing, video and podcast generation
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, written and visual communication
  • Skilled at taking complex topics and converting to digestible training content
