For the Automotive Business Unit (ABU) in our Villingen-Schwenningen office we are looking for a "Working Student (m/f/d) Remote Target Infrastructure" The ABU (Automotive Business Unit) remote test infrastructure relies on IP cameras and on devices called Test Controllers, which basically consist of a Raspberry Pi equipped with a relay board. At the moment about forty such devices are connected to target boards and placed on shelves. This infrastructure has proved very useful to allow teams located in different geographic areas to work remotely. The number of remote devices is growing and at the same time the effort to keep this infrastructure in operation is increasing (configuration of new test set ups, flashing boards, adding/removing peripherals, debugging connection problems, etc.). To cope with this increase in effort we are looking for a working student (Werkstudent). Knowledge of the English language is a pre-requisite to be able to communicate with teams abroad. Your area of responsibility - exciting and with a view into the future Configuration of new Test Controllers and IP cameras Improving testing concept Improving cable and hardware management Improving booting (boot from network drive) Optimization of the test infrastructure Restarting/flashing boards Adding/removing peripherals Debugging connection problems Keeping the wiki page with the list of available Test Controllers up to date Supporting development teams Your qualifications - validated and adequate Interest in Embedded devices Interest in Linux Interest in Raspberry Pi Interest in Python Interest in test automation Siemens Digital Industries (DI) is an innovation leader in automation and digitalization.
