As a Workshop Manager you will be responsible for leading and managing the workshop and field services, in Process Automation Business Area in Shanghai, China.

Reporting to the Service Manager, you will lead the workshop part of the operation with all the aspects including people management, Health, Safety and Environment (HSE).

Your responsibilities

  • Being responsible of timely delivery, quality of jobs, continuous process improvements
  • Coordinating between service coordination and service engineers
  • Being responsible for the availability of resources, short and long-term, investments proposals
  • Ensuring skill level of workforce by adequate training plan
  • Being responsible for the maintenance of the machines, equipment and tools for workshop and field service
  • Implementing the Operational, Health and Safety (OHS) requirements, working instructions of the Business Area including the handling of IT tools
  • Managing and supervising the work of the subcontractors
  • Establishing the workshop assessment report, coordinating and supervising the workshop- and field service team

Your background

  • 5 years working experience in the related field of industry with good organizing skills, ensuring safe working environment
  • Maintaining the quality and the productivity levels
  • Maintaining a high level of technical knowledge, strong analytical thinking and aptitude for problem solving
  • Bachelor or college degree in marine diesel engine / locomotive diesel engine / mechanical engineering related to marine equipment or turbine machinery, complemented with marketing or business management education
  • Good organizing skills, fluctuating workload, time constrains, absolutely trustworthy
  • Fluency in English both written and spoken, excellent communication skills
  • Be dynamic, initiative, self-starter and self-motivated, be able to motivate employees
