China is the biggest market for Mercedes-Benz and performs in a very dynamic way. In order to better understand the needs of Chinese customers and to ensure the most efficient production of Mercedes-Benz cars, RD China is responsible for the localization, development and testing of all China specific components, modules, derivate and carlines for the Chinese market.
We as RD C/TC provide support for all hardware related testing in terms of logistics for prototype parts and cars, centralized workshops and are operating the T ech C enter C hina in Beijing. The TCC is a full-fledged testing facility and provides testing possibilities of all relevant disciplines.
As senior manager, you are responsible for the management of our centralized RD-workshop. In cooperation with our internal customers from RD China and Headquarters in Germany, you and your team are providing sufficient support for hardware and software related retrofitting of our test car fleet.
As Senior Manager of the Workshop Team you:
- are managing a team of 28 internal and about 10 external employees
- align, plan and organize on an efficient and reliable retrofitting activities in cooperation with the internal customers from RD in China and RD Headquarters in Germany
- are managing the capacity of workshop, resources, HC and preparation work and you are monitoring the project progress and workload. You are providing a forecast for mid- and long-term workload planning
- are organizing an efficient, save and qualified workshop operation for all to provide accurate and reliable retrofit results for our customers
- are monitoring and safequarding the quality of all results in cooperation with the local business units and your counterparts in RD Headquaters in Germany
- are identifying new opportunities for workshop activities in order to support the transformation of our products towards electrification and software driven architecture
- are supporting new technologies in terms of batteries and autonomous driving.
