#### Position Description:


Lenovo Workstations offer leading edge solutions for customers in key vertical
segments including Engineering/CAD, media and entertainment content creation,
data science, medical, oil and gas, and finance.  In order to support a
growing product portfolio and sales force, we are actively seeking to add a
Workstation Technical Specialist for the Asia-Pacific geography to our team.
As part of the Workstation Customer Solutions Team, some of the
responsibilities included with this role would be:
• Function as a knowledgeable technical liaison between the various team
members in the AP Geography and the Workstation Customer Solutions team.
• Provide relentless support for all incoming technical questions and issues
from within the geography.
• Interface directly with team members from within the business unit including
Product Marketing Managers, Global Account Managers, Geo Sales Reps, etc. to
better understand and help meet detailed technical customer requirements.
• Work with both our Workstation Performance/Benchmarking team and Workstation
ISV teams as needed to respond to specific technical requests related to those
areas.

#### Position Requirements:


• B.S. and/or M.S degree in Electrical Engineering/Computer Science or similar
field.
• 5+ years of experience with PC/Workstation system engineering/design.
• Strong technical understanding of current PC architecture and design trends.
• Substantial knowledge of BIOS, Windows and Linux operating systems, device
drivers, and how these components work together.
• Excellent technical debug and problem solving skills
• Fundamental understanding of imaging, image deployment, and driver/patch
deployment.
o Examples: SCCM, Landesk, CAB files, etc.
o Linux skills in this area are also desirable.
• Fundamental understanding of key ISV applications and optimizing solutions
for ISV apps
o Autodesk, Adobe, Dassault, PTC, ESRI
o Driver and application optimization
o Multi-threading / multi-tasking
• Ability to work independently, as well as part of both small focused and
larger cross-functional teams.
• Fast paced, self-motivated team player with an attention to detail and a
customer first attitude.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills (English required)
