Responsibilities:

• Write the manuscript for a series of detective story books of up to 48 titles, targeted at Primary 1 Hong Kong students.

• The manuscript has to fulfill all of the following criteria:

n Native American English;

n Detective story content with a very intense, intriguing suspense that successfully drives students to read from one book to another;

n Context based on Hong Kong landmarks or iconic features of Hong Kong, e.g. LegCo Council; famous shopping mall such as SOGO or Elements; Sai Kung seafood; Ocean Park; Hong Kong Disneyland; MTR; Tram; Ngon Ping 360, etc.

n Suitable for Primary 1 Hong Kong students, in terms of the level of difficulty, the usual circumstances that they will encounter, e.g. friendship or rivalry at school, common likes or dislikes, psychological struggles toward siblings or classmates, and all other interpersonal issues that they will usually come across at their age living in Hong Kong.

n Story content has to instill in students proper values and behavior, e.g. sharing with love and care; importance of critical thinking and value judgement, etc.

Requirements

• Experienced detective story book writer, preferably for small children aged 5-7.
• Native American, or speaking native American English as first language.
• Confident in writing manuscripts that meet all the manuscript criteria as mentioned above.
