Job Description

Manufacturing Product Engineering (MPE) team sits at the cross-section of manufacturing, design, and quality at Intel. Our function is to trail-blaze our new product's designs and make sure all of our products meet Intel's outgoing quality goals to our customers. This team is tasked with the exciting challenges of creating test methodologies using the latest design-for-test (DFT) capabilities in different areas including System Test.

As a member of the MPE team, you will be at the forefront of pushing design and manufacturing envelops while delivering quality high volume test content/methods and validating the design of critical components of server products. As a Product Development Engineering lead, the person will be responsible for:

  • Work with different platform PHI owners
  • Drive compliance to PHI milestones and process to track and compare PHI's
  • Work with product sizing requests, WIF's and tracking
  • Understand new product architecture and work with manager and CE to develop sizing models, headcount and GSD models.
  • Work with other supporting teams like MIT/STTD/IFWI/ and others defining the different collaterals for future products.
  • Work with the next manager level to develop the team strategy defining Headcount model, and other needs.
  • Analyzes and evaluates component specification versus performance to ensure optimal match of component requirements with production equipment capability with specific emphasis on yield analysis and bin split capability.
  • Creates and applies concepts for optimizing component production relative to both quality and cost constraints.
  • Autonomously plans and schedules own daily tasks, develops solutions to problems utilizing formal education and judgment

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • This position requires a Bachelors, Lic, Master or PHD degree in Electric/Electronics/ Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of experience in leadership positions (examples: project management, team lead, management, leading key projects/teams)
  • Knowledge in PHI and Product sizing cycle
  • Advanced English level
  • Candidate must have permanent unrestricted right to work in Costa Rica


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding of Factory assembly and test process
  • Scripting and debug experience.
  • Microprocessors Hardware architecture, logic/Circuit design and implementation

Work Model for this Role

This role is available as fully home-based and generally would require you to attend Intel sites only occasionally based on business need.
