In this internship, you will be working with a world-class design team within Intel's Xeon Engineering Group (XEG) delivering next generation Xeon SOCs.
Responsibilities may be quite diverse of a nonexempt technical nature. U.S. experience and education requirements will vary significantly depending on the unique needs of the job. Job assignments are usually for the summer or for short periods during breaks from school.
Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Design, documentation and integration of building blocks for a Xeon System on a Chip (SOC)
- Logic design using Verilog and VCS
- Physical design using Synthesis and Place and Route tools
- Timing, power and layout convergence; creating a manufacturable design database

Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.
Minimum Qualifications
Candidate must be currently pursuing a Master's or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
3+ months experience in:
- Digital Design
- VLSI
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in
- RTL/Logic design with Verilog and VCS
- Electronic Design Automation tools, flows and methodology
- Physical design with Fusion compiler and Primetime; layout design rules and density checks
- Scripting with TCL and/or Perl
Xeon and Networking Engineering (XNE) focuses on the development and integration of XEON and Networking SOC's and critical IP's sustain Intels Xeon and 5G networking roadmap.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, Colorado:
$52,000.00-$147,000.00

Work Model for this Role
This role is available as fully home-based and generally would require you to attend Intel sites only occasionally based on business need.
