As the Yield Equipment Commodity Manager, you will be responsible for but not limited to: 

  • Develop and manage internal and external relationships to provide sustainable cost, quality, availability, and technology solutions while adhering to procurement policies.

  • Partner with a diverse stakeholder base to lead and develop multiyear commodity strategies based on business/market intelligence, long-term analysis of the category/commodity, and the supply ecosystem.

  • Acquire and maintain industry, market, and technical knowledge of commodities.

  • Lead supplier sourcing, selection, and performance management.

  • Negotiate purchasing contracts, statements of works, and pricing for goods and/or services.

  • Drive cost-saving opportunities in partnership with suppliers and stakeholders to meet business objectives.

  • Develop new supply chain models for new or existing products or services.

The ideal candidate should exhibit the following behavioral traits:

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. *This position is not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship.

Minimum Qualifications:

The candidate must possess at least one of the following degrees plus the years of experience determined for each degree in the areas specified below:  

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering or any other engineering degree, Finance, business, or related field with 6+ years of commercial experience in technology, sourcing, and leadership.

  • Master's degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering or any other engineering degree, Finance, or related field with 4+ years of commercial experience in technology, sourcing, and leadership.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Commodity management, capital equipment, and contract negotiation experience, from concept and negotiations to contract closure and supply ramp, including collaboration with research, development, and manufacturing engineering, legal/IP, and finance.

  • Experience with challenging negotiation situations including sole source.

  • The candidate should have business acumen, understand supplier motivations, and the willingness to build supplier-specific business strategies with positive outcomes for Intel.

  • Experience developing cost and market models with finance to understand ROI.

  • Data analysis skills including Power BI and report generation.

  • Knowledge of supply chain for precision manufacturing equipment.

Work Model for this Role

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
