You will have experience of working with young people and a passion in designing and implementing a range of PIHK’s youth engagement and development education activities and programs, in particular ‘Be a Change-maker’, ‘Youth Conference’ and exposure trip to cultivate young people’s conviction in caring for the underprivileged children, injustice situation of girls across the globe through series of interactive activities. You will need to demonstrate a commitment to youth engagement as a tool for change, and be able to translate complicated campaign or policy ideas into digestible information.
Responsibilities and duties:
- Be the project leader in designing and implementing a range of PIHK’s youth engagement and development education activities and programs
- Ensure at all times best practice in child protection and welfare standards are adhered to
- Identify, recruit and retain youth circle members and ambassadors
- Work alongside institutions, organisations, and corporates to provide quality youth engagement programmes
- Conduct programme monitoring and outcome evaluations to ensure effective workshops and quality services are performed
- Develop and manage local education materials to facilitate capacity building in school network and online platforms
- Advance PIHK’s development education and youth engagement work to in order to extend our influence on local community
- Liaise and network with Plan International’s affiliations, and bridge external expertise, practices and experience to advance our youth programmes
- Support department and agency other initiatives and events
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will be a pro-active, self-directed and organised professional who is passionate and have genuine interest about young people and active global citizenship. Candidates possesses the following skills and attributes are desired:
- University degree
- Experience in coordinating, developing and implementing Youth programmes, experience in NGO preferred
- Experience of working with young people and able to lead and inspire young people
- Excellent English & Chinese spoken and written communication skills. English requirement: Preferable with Grade C or above in English of HKCEE or 5* in English of HKDSE
- Well organised, high capacity in event planning, organising and attention to details
- Proficient in MS Applications, knowledge in using Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop are preferable
- Occasional travel is required
- Immediate available is highly preferred
- Agree with Plan’s mission and vision and observe strictly to data privacy and child protection policies
