Job Description

 

We are looking for a high caliber individual to join the Corporate & Community Relations Department in the Corporate Development. Reporting to the Deputy Director - External Relations & Community Programmes, the candidate is required to carry out major duties as follows:

Major Duties: 

  • To design, plan and execute CLP youth and community programmes, in response to the company’s engagement strategies, in the areas of STEM, energy efficiency and conservation, climate change, career development and disadvantaged groups in the community to ensure key messages and positive image of the company are achieved
  • To lead, manage and conduct reviews and assessments of the various programmes to ensure continuous enhancement in the implementation and deliverables for the target audience, and to ensure the sustainability of these programmes
  • To identify and propose collaboration opportunities, build up a network with potential new community partners and current external stakeholders, such as universities, vocational institutions, secondary schools, related industry partners and NGOs in order to extend the reach and effectiveness of the youth and community programmes
  • To monitor latest developments of related subjects on youth, STEM, vocational and professional education and training, sub-divided units, etc, and propose enhancement to the current programmes in order to maximise benefits to the target beneficiary groups and optimise company’s resources allocation
  • To represent and / or support CLP’s representation on related advisory committees or taskforces related to youth & community engagement
  • To assist the Deputy Director in monitoring budgets for youth and community programmes, compiling communication materials and providing inputs to various company reports 

 

Requirements:

  • A recognized degree or equivalent qualification in Social Sciences, Social Work, Communications or related disciplines, with a minimum of 12 years relevant working experience including 5 years of managerial experience is an advantage
  • Preference will be given to candidates with proven work experience in the education sector and / or implementing programmes targeting youth, with a good network and solid relationships with community partners offering youth services, schools and educational institutions
  • Strong leadership and management skills, who can lead, coach and build a strong team in implementing approved projects and programmes
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Agile and capable to work under pressure and tight deadlines
  • A good knowledge in education / Vocational and Professional Education and Training (VPET) and passionate to work with youth
  • Customer-oriented, self-motivated, flexible and a good team player
  • Fluency in spoken English and Chinese with promising writing skills
