My client is the world's leading manufacturer of aircraft engine that set the industry standard for performance, accuracy and durability.

1) Carry out supplier assessment audits with supplier support utilizing advanced product quality planning (APQP) methods

2) Manage the Supplier Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) including PPM, OTD, Timely Problem Solving and Corrective Action activity, Cost Recovery and Warranty related metrics.

3) Develop process to review supplier's performance based on PPM and OTD weekly.

4) Review supplier performance's quarterly basis and prepare detail action plans for the underperforming suppliers in matter of quality (PPM) and on time delivery (OTD) issues. Keep the stake holders informed of the progress of the underperforming suppliers.

5) Support regular meetings with representatives from appropriate departments and suppliers to establish an action plan for improving quality

6) Support Purchasing Cost Improvement Initiatives with the supplier approval process

7) Analyze all available Supplier Quality related data to understand and drive improvement within the supply chain

8) Manage the root cause analysis and corrective actions process of supplier quality issues

9) Work with cross functional teams to define process parameters and criteria to ensure supplier process capability is effective in meeting product and process requirements

10) Support new product launches to ensure suppliers are capable of delivering to the required quality standards

11) Perform on-site supplier visits for root cause analysis and verification of corrective actions of supplier quality issues

12) Review supplier manufacturing processes, collaborate with suppliers on process improvement and value enhancement opportunities

13) Promote the use of customer preferred techniques for continuous improvement such as Lean, Six-Sigma, Poka-Yoke (Error Proofing), Measurement System Analysis and FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis)

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or Aeronautical with 5-7+ years of experience in an assembly manufacturing company of technical product within the Industrial or aerospace industries - high volume environment required
• Very proficient in English and Chinese language, written and oral
• Membership of an appropriate professional body (ASQ Certified Quality Engineer/Manager Certification or similar would be a plus).
• 5 years of Management experience of a Quality department or team in an ISO environment with the personal and managerial skills set to work collaboratively with both peers and direct reports.
• Individual who has managed a team of at least 5 direct reports.
• Work history within organizations over $35M, manufacturing technical product lines in the industrial or automotive industries.
• Ability to travel (Customers and Suppliers) 50% - 75%.
• Knowledge and experience in the following manufacturing processes is a plus.

• Casting (i.e. sand castings, grey iron, precision)

• Machining (i.e. lathes, mills, CNC machining centres, de-burring)

• Welding

• Sheet metal (i.e. punching, forming, laser cutting)

• Finishing (i.e. painting, powder coating, plating, anodizing)
