Job Description
Position Overview The Industrial eCommerce Team is a small, but highly motivated, sales team chartering Siemens success in our fastest growing channel to market. We develop business plans and strategies to support Siemens market share objectives in the US. The eCommerce Distributor Sales position will be responsible for maintaining a strong relationship with designated eCommerce resellers to help meet the financial goals set for our partners. This position will work closely with our operational and logistics teams, retail customer service team, business unit marketing teams, other TIA Sales teams as well as the eCommerce team from other Siemens divisions. This account management position is an individual contributor role covering the US sales region. Responsibilities Meet or Exceed Sales Growth Objectives · Effectively manage the channel partners to ensure growth objectives are met o Ensure visibility of financial reporting to management including risks and opportunities Marketing (20% - 25% of role) · Developing Yearly Strategic marketing plans together with target eCommerce Accounts · Track Joint Marketing Campaigns to ensure success o Participate in joint content creation with our partners Data Management (20% of role) · Complete partner content templates for initial product setup · Work with partners to ensure Siemens products on their site are correctly categorized and populated with basic and enriched product data Sales (20% of role) · Act as key contact for Partners’ Sales Teams pursuing special opportunities · Manage special price request process including: o Executing approved vetting process to evaluate all Special Price Requests · Focus on Growing Partners’ Serviceable Markets o Help uncover unique sales opportunities where we can partner with eCommerce Accounts · Product Quotations o Provide quotations on special or configured products upon requests Product Portfolio (15% of role) · Expand Portfolio of Siemens Products at Target Accounts o Continuously analyzes and optimizes product portfolio of the E-commerce partner New Partner Development and Onboarding (10% of role) Training (10% of role) · Develop and maintain a training calendar for channel sales, technical and inside sales. · Support planning for certification and technical training for channel application engineers. · Conduct surveys to identify areas of improvement. Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience · Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience · Advanced proficiency in Excel is essential to execute job role · Superior verbal and written communication skills with high attention to detail · Ability to work across multiple internal and external organizations · Ability to demonstrate critical thinking skills · Financial business acumen · Self-motivated and customer obsessed · Ability to work autonomously in a highly demanding and often ambiguous environment, with attention to detail and organizational skills · 10% travel required · Where permitted by applicable law, Siemens may require employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 based on job requirements, and in accordance with an accommodation based on legally protected reasons.
