The eCommerce team at VMWare is responsible for direct sales of software, licenses, services, and support via the VMWare Online Store. We are at an exciting stage of growth & team development and are looking to add a talented eCommerce Specialist to the team.

The eCommerce Specialist will be responsible for implementing a variety of projects across all areas of the eCommerce business, including demand generation, store merchandizing, analytics, design & production, and CRO (Conversion Rate Optimization).

This is a hands-on role that requires a mix of technical, creative & operational skills. To be successful in this role, you must have experience in eCommerce, ideally using Magento or a similar eCommerce platform.

Job Role & Responsibility

  • Assist in growing conversion rates, AOV, LTV through structured process of experimentation.
  • Work closely with internal teams at VMWare (marketing, operations, support, and IT) to implement projects across all stages of the test & learn process
  • Implement dynamic store experiences within Magento Page Builder
  • Provide day-to-day administrative support for website, analytics, reporting, QA
  • Ensure project roadmaps are up to date and communicated to key stakeholders
  • Assist in the running of regular project meetings
  • Communicate regular customer trends & insights gained from testing.


Required Skills

  • 3+ years in a WW eCommerce or digital marketing role (CRO, analytics, marketing, or online sales)
  • 3+ years hands-on experience with
    • Google Analytics
    • Google Optimize/ Optimizely/ VWO or similar
  • 3+ years’ experience with an ecommerce platform, either
    • Magento, (or BigCommerce, SAP Hybris, ATG or similar)
    • Digital River (or Cleverbridge, 2Checkout or similar)
  • Hands-on experience in web technologies: JavaScript, XML/XSL, HTML/DHTML, CSS. You must be comfortable building, configuring, publishing, and troubleshooting web pages.
  • Hands-on experience with design tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud.
  • Strong Excel and data-querying skills.
  • Familiarity with project management tools like Kanban boards (Trello or similar), JIRA and other ticketing systems, and roadmapping tools such as Aha or similar
  • A proactive self-starter, who never stops learning. VMWare offers excellent training in both online & offline settings; you will be expected to avail of this to keep your skillset current and relevant.
  • Ability to handle and prioritize workload while maintaining a sense of humor.
