Griggs International Academy high school PE Teacher
Location: Hefei, Anhui
School type: Hefei Ivy Experimental Academy (HIEA) is a private school established in Hefei in 2018. It is located near Shushan Forest Park and Dashu Mountain, boasting an excellent location and scenic environment. The school’s Experimental Department, affiliated to Griggs International Academy, offers grades 9-12 an American high school experience, while theBilingual School serves grades 1-8.
Description: Griggs International Academy (GIA) is accredited by high level organizations. Its high school diplomas are preferred by the top universities and accepted worldwide as a trusted education provider. Owned and operated by Andrews University in the United States, GIA has associations with many higher education agencies. GIA’s K-12 program is regionally accredited by Middle States Association for Colleges and Schools. It is also approved by the Maryland State Department of Education as a non-public school for Kindergarten, Elementary and High School.
As a GIA high school PE teacher, the preferred candidate would be required to teach Grades 9-12 PE five times a week in accordance with GIA standards. As GIA classes are currently small, all grade levels will be taught PE together once a day. Students must receive instruction in one PE class per day, five days a week in order to earn a full GIA high school credit. The PE teacher will also be required to take classes for primary and middle school students (Grades 1-8) in the Bilingual program.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday 08:00 to 16:30, including occasional weekends for marketing events. 20-25 classes per week, with two after school activities per week
Requirements:
• Bachelor degree or higher in Physical Education or related subjects from an accredited university
• Native English speaker (preferred)
• IB/PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification (preferred)
• 1-2 years’ experience teaching Grade 1-12 students
• Ability to adapt to local culture and work well with colleagues from other cultures
• Currently living in China
Salary: 23,000 - 30,000 RMB per month
