We are now looking for an iOS Platform Engineer to join us in our Sydney office. At Canva, we work every day to make a significant positive impact on society. As part of the Mobile Platform team, your focus will be to improve the foundations of our iPhone and iPad applications. We are looking for someone who is interested in getting the technical details right and building a performant and stable code base for hundreds of other engineers to build their features on. You will be collaborating with your team to deliver a world class mobile product that is used by millions of people around the globe.
Your Role
- Work closely with the product team to deliver Canva’s iOS offering
- Create and ship high quality code that gets used by millions of people all over the world
- Participate in design and code reviews
- Engage in technical and product design discussions with the team
- Collaborate with other team members to figure out the best solutions to difficult engineering problems.
Your Skills
- iOS application development experience
- Strong knowledge of Swift
- Knowledge of native iOS architecture, frameworks, and the Xcode IDE
- Computer Science / Software Engineering fundamentals
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Experience with Android and HTML/CSS/JS are a plus.
